About Stephen...
I began painting in my spare time in 1999, in my home town of Austin, Texas. With an interest in art since childhood, I majored in advertising in college and have worked in that industry on the creative side since graduating, both here in Austin and in New York. In the recent past, I've devoted more time to developing as a fine artist and would like to continue on that path. Most of my recent work is done in oil in a representational, somewhat impressionistic style. I am currently experimenting with plein air painting, but also enjoy painting still life and, on occasion, from personal photographs. I have two wonderful children, one now in his second year of college, and a daughter who is a sophomore in high school.

I have been practicing meditation and studying various energy healing modalities for the last 14 years. The tranquility and healing energy learned from these practices are incorporated into each creation. Each painting arises from a place of intuition and natural inspiration. Paintings can be custom designed specifically for your home, place of business, sacred space or nursery. My hope is that the art work will inspire you to take a few moments out of each day to draw your attention inward, to rejuvenate and recharge your energy. Each piece is an original one-of-a-kind that is created from the finest quality materials. I enjoy using an interesting array of elements not usually found in paintings to acheive the desired image, such as semi precious stones, gold leaf, rare beads and seeds.
