This clinic is designed for people that suffer from anxiety. Explore Yoga Therapy methods and other healing modalities that are effective and profoundly liberating when combating the debilitating effects of anxiety. Learn breathwork, meditation and gentle movement techniques that help to break the psychological, biochemical, and physical cycles that keep anxiety in your life. A Licensed Acupuncturist will be on hand to treat clients (optional) during guided meditation and final relaxation pose. The combination of these two modalities is very powerful. Yoga Therapy is a blend of traditional Yoga practices, Alternative Medicine, and modern medical science. If you suffer from anxiety, whether it is situational or long-term chronic, this clinic will give you tools to empower yourself to heal from the inside out, and lessen the effects that anxiety has on your mind and body. We will also explore Traditional Chinese medicine, herbal remedies, aromatherapy, sound healing and color therapy. It is important to find as many tools that work for you as possible. The more you know about anxiety and how to fight it, the easier your journey. Not all methods work for everyone, but there is one or more methods that will work for all.

Common effects of anxiety that will be addressed in this clinic:
*Difficulty concentrating
*Difficulty controlling worry
*Excess anxiety and worry that is out of proportion to the situation most of the time
*Excessive sweating, palpitations, shortness of breath, and Gastrointestinal issues
*Fatigue
*Irritability
*Muscle tension -- shakiness, headaches
*Restlessness or feeling keyed up or "on the edge"
*Sleep disturbance (difficulty falling or staying asleep; or restless, unsatisfying sleep)

You don't realize how much anxiety controls your life until you begin to defeat the beast. It is a battle, and requires commitment, dedication, faith (in your own ability) and practice.

We DO NOT recommend that you discontinue taking prescription drugs without the consent and supervision of a medical professional. It is very important to be under a physician's care if you plan to discontinue medication. Discontinuation of anti-anxiety medications can lead to severe reactions. This series is not intended as a replacement for your healthcare providers services.
